It all started because of an interview!

A few summers ago, Krew was playing for the Tri-City Chili Peppers while Deana was a social media intern. One day she decided to start a segment called Warning Track Walks to get to know who the players were outside of baseball. The first person she chose, the scariest looking one of them all, Krew Bouldin.

As she asked him questions about himself he slowly started to come out of his shell. The two became friends and that same day he hit a homerun. Because he’s injury prone, Krew got hurt and was sidelined the rest of the season. The two began to talk more and quickly became good friends. At one point during the season, he even saved her from a concussion.

After the season was over they both admitted to liking each other (something her best friend knew all along).

Then right away they went to being long distance, Krew in Delaware and Deana back to school in Alabama. They went all the way until April of the following year when Deana went to see one of his games in Delaware. He went on to have the best season of his collegiate career 🙂

Time went by and it was summer again. They were both finally in the same place again! They maintained a level of professionalism that summer to make sure it didn’t effect the work they were both doing. Just like the season before, Krew got hurt and spent some of his time in the dugout talking to Deana just like the summer before.

After that summer he went back to Delaware and she went to Florida to start a master’s degree.

Fast forward to December 21, 2024, Krew asked Deana to marry him on the same exact baseball field they first met in the same exact place they had their first conversation.

After being in different places for the last couple years, Krew and Deana are finally in the same place again planning their wedding.
